Sergeant W. B. Mackie

The Military Medal
[Thin Blue Line]

His Citation reads:

From 25th February to 16th September, 1918. For eminent devotion to duty and conspicuous gallantry in action. During the recent advance on front of Amiens, with admirable disregard for his own safety, he faithfully carried out his own important duties, and then pressed forward, and was an inspiring example of courage and confidence to all about him. In the front line he has rendered notable service in inflicting punishment upon the enemy and capturing prisoners.
