Obituary of Elizabeth (Fraser) Sutherland,
Eastern Chronicle, New Glasgow, N.S., June 15, 1903
Elizabeth Fraser Sutherland died May 9th, 1903 in her 81st year. The deceased was born at Glace Bay, in the Island of Cape Breton. About 62 years ago she married her late husband, who predeceased her some six years ago. They had four sons and four daughters. One daughter died 12 years ago, and the other three are comfortably married and living in the neighborhood. The sons are John James, on the homestead; George, a prosperous business man in Mexico; Daniel Fraser, a private Banker, at Winchester, Ont; and Alexander Fraser, President of the Sutherland Milling Co., at Seattle, Washington.
