Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness were great but *** avoid *** the ORIGINAL Loch Ness Monster exhibit unless you want to browse through the largest tartan tourist gift shop on the planet.

The exhibition consisted of what looked to me like pictures ripped out of books and magazines, kids crayoned drawings (ok I am exaggerating slightly! ) sellotaped up on wood panelling. It culminated in a 30 minute video.

100 yards down the road in Drumnadrochit is the OFFICIAL Loch Ness Monster exhibition. We had just been ripped off in the ORIGINAL one so just peeked through the doors of this, but it looked way better.

At that point we thought "Lets just get to the loch" almost had a haggis burger from the van beside the entrance to Urquhart but had a 99 cone instead.

In granting her kind permission to include this on our site, Mrs. McKay wrote: "You can use my comments, if you could just make sure [to] say that they are my opinions. Good luck with your project."
