Facilities

 

The Atlantic Marksmen Association's Ralph Dunn Range offers 6 pistol bays, one rifle range and a Jungle Lane for 2009 Nationals. The range facility is located approximately 45 minutes from down town Halifax but only about 15 minutes from the selected Match Hotel.

 

Plan on bringing sufficient water and rations with you to the range as we will not be providing a catering service on site this year.

 

The Match Hotel is the Quality Inn Halifax Airport. The Hotel has recently been completely renovated, has an indoor and an outdoor pool, and provides free shuttle to and from the Halifax Airport. It is also almost the closest accommodations to the range itself. If you're so inclined, you're a quick 30 minute drive to down town Halifax.

Note these directions take you to the main gate to the range. Google Maps seems to not believe the road from the Old Guysborough Road to the Range is passable.

Match Ammunition Suppliers

We have two suppliers, one for the pistol portion and one for the rifle and shotgun portion. In both cases, your ammunition will be waiting for you at the range when you arrive.

Pistol Match Ammunition will be supplied by Wolf Bullets, www.wolfbullets.com:

• 9mm 125gr Minor;
• 40S&W 180gr Major - two lengths: standard and 2011 frame length;
• 38 Supercomp Major; and
• 45ACP 230gr Major.

Rifle (223) and Shotgun Ammunition (12 gauge slug and shot) will be supplied by CRAFM, http://www.crafm.com/

Orders must be placed by July 1 in order to be shipped to the competition in time.
