Nova Scotia Welcomes You

The Atlantic Marksmen Association welcomes you back to Nova Scotia for the 2009 Canadian IPSC Nationals. AMA has hosted the Nationals twice in the last 10 years, most recently in 2002.

All AMA members, as well as Nova Scotians, are looking forward to hosting you for a fun filled match and a great visit to Atlantic Canada's Ocean Playground.

This year's theme is Pirates of the Atlantic Coast. While you likely won't be Press Ganged into on-board service while you're here; you should expect to thoroughly enjoy yourself: at the range, the Match Hotel, downtown Halifax, and anywhere else you take the time to visit.

Competitors will arrive and match packages will be issued to all at the Match Hotel: Choice Motel Halifax Airport, on the evening of Wednesday 29 July. The match BBQ will be held at the Match Hotel on Saturday evening 1 August and the Match Awards Ceremony and Banquet will be held at the Enfield Legion on Sunday evening, 2 August.

Some of the match and registration information is located here in our FAQ.

The Match

The match will be held over three days: Thursday 30 July through to Saturday 1 August. Every shooter should plan on shooting two half days. Range staff are all arranged so you will have all other times to yourself; you will not be expected to work on your non-shooting days.

The Canadian 3 Gun Championships will be held on Sunday 2 August, again at AMA's Ralph Dunn Range.

The Facilities

The Atlantic Marksmen's Ralph Dunn Outdoor Range will be the host club for the match. Our 6 Pistol bays, 1 rifle range and our famous jungle lane will provide a wide variety of shooting challenges.
