CAROUSEL

    The Carousel derived from medieval times where a crude turntable with a horse model was used to train horsemen and knights. As a jousting practice, they would try to spear a ring with a lance while the frame turned. The word "jousting" in Italian is "carosello", which essentially means "quarrelsome".

COASTER & PARK FILMS FROM THE PHILADELPHIA TOBOGGAN COMPANY  (19  ) NTSC

        This tape shows several PTC products from the '20's to the early 60's
        such as coasters, carousels, mill chutes, and a couple novelty rides.
        The tape box states that the actual footage was shot by PTC workers
        after each ride was built, originally intended for promotional
        purposes. This tape is in black & white. *(Not Reviewed.) Tape
