Blindfold Chess Tournament Results
From: "Kim Tufts"To: Subject: Great Taste Blindfold results Date sent: Sun, 5 Jul 1998 19:19:17 -0300 Today's event was an interesting one and went pretty much as expected. The site was kind of noisy with numerous distractions but the most distracting were the other players so it all evened out. The format used went okay. The 1700-1800 rated players mostly lost when playing blind and the higher rated managed to get at least equal positions or better after the 30 moves. Antoni Wysocki won with Jim Brennan second, Antoni claiming first after Jim claimed brain damage before the final showdown. There were no blind vs blind games and only one game where both players had sight. In all, 14 took part. Antoni scored wins against Phil Boyle, Harold Uuetoa and Craig Morrison.
The Blindfold Rules used for this tournament are on line.
