1st-2nd Co-champions Howarth and Urquhart $60 each

U2000 Brennan and D.Kenney

U1800 J.Kenney

Anthony Howarth and Ed Urquhart tied for first place as expected. Howarth clobbered Urquhart in their individual encounter, Ed lucky to get a draw. Ed battled back, mowing down the opposition while Howath later lost one game each to McKim and then Dave Kenney. Jason Kenney had a very good event, finishing higer than anyone under 2000 rated.

As always in blitz there were some ..er..peculiarities, such as taking the King while an opponent thinks he has just mated you; the ubiquitous Q drop or K "sacrifice", etc.
