BLUENOSE CHESS CLUB OPEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2012
Date: February 24-26, 2012
Place: Don MacNeil Room, Rosaria Centre (4th Floor), Mount Saint Vincent
University, 166 Bedford Highway, Halifax, NS
Format: Five (5) Round Swiss
Byes: A half point bye is available upon request for rounds 1 to 4 if requested
in advance of the start of the round. A bye will not be available for the
final round on Sunday.
Registration: Friday, February 24, 2012 on site from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm
Time Control: Game in two hours plus a thirty-second increment added per move
starting from the first move

Entry Fee: Adults: $35; Juniors (under 18) & Seniors (65 years or older): $30.
Prizes: Winner will have his/her name engraved on the Bluenose Cup trophy.
Additional prizes will be based on the number of players participating.

Miscellaneous: PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHESS SET & CLOCK.
Membership in the Chess Federation of Canada (CFC) is required to
participate in the tournament. If, you do not have a CFC membership
you can purchase either an annual membership or a one-tournament
membership on site.
Smoking is not permitted at the tournament site.
