Jerseyman Harbour to North Arm Cove in Little Bay;
Under power to Pass Island, then a sail across Hermitage Bay.

The 26th was a grey day of light southerlies and some sloppy seas. We motored out into these conditions and one by one raised the sails to steady her motion as we progressed along toward Pass Island with its lighthouse and Tickle.

In Hermitage Bay we found calmer seas and a sailing breeze in our favor.

We sailed across towards Long Island and between the two off-lying sentinel ledges, the port-hand one having a beacon on it, and then on into Little Bay, where we were greeted by an eagle.

The run eastward up Little Bay was a pleasant finale to this day’s passage. The culmination was a most noisome spectacular waterfall in North Arm Cove where we came to anchor. We set the anchor at 1745 in 3 fathoms of water near a small stream in the western end of the cove. The shallows were limited in size and close to shore, and swinging room was limited, so we put a line ashore.
