Our Mission
For parishioners to become mature Christians, and to reach out to the community in every physical, emotional, and spiritual way. Profile St. Matthias is a parish congregation affiliated with the Anglican Church of Canada. It began in the late nineteenth-century. The assistant at St. Paul's, Halifax (the oldest Anglican parish in Canada) came to the area to preach and conduct services. Historically, the parish's worship life has been simple, with an emphasis on Bible study and sharing our Christian faith. Location St. Matthias is located on the corner of Chebucto Road and Windsor Street in central Halifax. The civic address is 6131 Chebucto Road -- the large brick building. Bus Route On Sunday, nearby Metro bus lines are numbers 7 and 80. During the week, nearby bus lines include number 8 (Windsor Street and Chebucto Road), 2 and 4 (North Street at Windsor), 3 and 7 (Robie and Cunard), and 80 (Robie and Cunard). |
