Send a message to an email group and it is automatically distributed to all that belong to the group. Join an email group and you will receive all messages that are posted to it. You do not have to belong to an email group in order to post a message to it. Email groups have two email addresses: An administrative address to handle such functions as subscribing and unsubscribing, and an address to which messages are posted to for distribution. When sending messages to an administrative address, be sure your message is free of signature blocks or any other extraneous text. New subscribers typically receive an introductory message which gives operating instructions for that email group. Introductory information can also be obtained by sending the one word message HELP to an email group's administrative address. GROUNDWATER ----------- Purpose: To discuss all aspects of groundwater science. Membership: Over 500. International. Volume: 25 to 50 messages per week. Very active. Consider "digest" option to help manage volume.
