Aspotagan Bike Ride 2007

Three brave souls ventured out Victoria Day - myself and two other Gonzo wannabees, my friend Carmelita MacIntyre and her co-worker Caroline Wells, both runners more than cyclists. They were both first-timers on this ride and were, not surprisingly, blown away by its beauty.

Caroline had never ridden more than 25km in her life, so the 53km. route was a big challenge for her. She toughed it out. Carmelita, who is training for an upcoming Tri, took my advice and attacked the hills. She was impressive.

Weather was cool but dry, roads were practically empty (as is usual on this gem of a ride) and the home made bread at The Deck was, in itself, worth the trip!

More peninsula rides to come...for sure.
