At our regular monthly meetings we usually present guest speakers who showcase their inventions or describe services of interest to inventors/innovators. Sometimes we also offer tours and other special events. Garvie Sampson, Inventor: “Book launcher” and “Golf Ball Collector”

Garvie will demonstrate and explain two of his inventions as well as discuss the trials and tribulations of marketing and distribution. Gene Foster

Gene has just returned from Florida where he learned about the Inventors Council – Inventors helping Inventors. Gene has details on their Innovation Center, how it is structured, their membership, library and computer programs. This will be an interesting and informative presentation on one of your Societies' long range objectives.

Tim Edmonds

Inventor, Air Chamber Crab Processor

Tim Edmonds is one of two inventive Nova Scotians to win a prestigious national innovation award. The Ernest C. Manning Award was presented to Tim, a mechanical engineer with Innovacorp, for developing an air chamber crab processor that transformed the industry. The compressed air system safely and cost-effectively removes the meat from hard-shell segments of crab. Attend this months meeting and hear Tim describe his invention and its effects on the crab industry as well as details on the Manning Foundation.
