Community Access Program - Metro Halifax
Composition Plan
June 24, 1999

         The committee will be representative of all citizens and key sectors of Metro Halifax. The committee will comprise 12 members. It will include representatives from:

  • HRM management
  • Social Services
  • Recreation
  • Halifax Regional Library
  • Central Regional Health Board
  • Halifax Regional School Board
  • Chebucto Community Net
  • Business
  • Community groups
  • Minority groups

Mandate:

         The committee will be responsible for the development of a detailed plan for the Community Access Program that will be presented to the Agreement Management Committee for CAP. The plan will include an overall description of the program including details of how it will be coordinated, guidelines and process for funding applications and a timeline for implementation.

         Information gathered through a series of focus groups (approximately 12) held August/September would be used to develop the plan.

         Selection of possible candidates for the Steering Committee will be identified through the consultation process of focus groups. Candidates will be recommended by Chebucto Community Net (CCN) to the Agreement Management Committee for CAP.
