} I think we'll be doing this in the next couple of days on our new
} provincial server. Between the two of us we should be able to get it
} sorted out soon enough. The only major change is /dev/pts instead of
} /dev/tty[p-z] in csuite/lib/wtmp.c & friends.
I've hacked tq to be able to deal with /dev/pts; but, I basiaclly
ignored wtmp.c and friends since I'm not using them. The biggest
problem with them is that I don't want my wtmp rolled everyday. We
need to teach it how to generate statistics without rolling wtmp. Of
course, most systems will still need to roll wtmp on a regular basis.
I have program here which I wrote that rolls wtmpx while keeping a
certain number of days (the part that is removed is stored in a backup
file). It could easily be modified to handle wtmp as well.
