Hi everyone,
Rather than send out a "what the hell's going on?" message, I've
taken a moment to cool off and reflect, and go ahead with a more
constructive attitude:
Does anyone know where we are with regard to cleaning up the process
for registering our IPs and placing them within some kind of
structure on our site?
I bring this up because, while checking out the colour-correction fix
to our template that Andrew's been handling (the purple certainly is
more visible, but still a damn ugly colour ;-), I decided to peek
through the recently updated pages. I didn't have to go very far to
discover a discrepancy:
- among the updates is "New Brunswick Ground Search and Rescue"
- How about that! They're in my section - Community Support & Dev.!
- checked my mail files... nope, don't recall ever receiving a notice
about the IP's creation...
- Nope, they're not in the CommSupport index...
- Database says the IP was created on March 22nd, 2000. I was
back from Cuba, and on the job....
- Unlike new IP's, NSGSAR is not in the /home/ directory, it's
actually in the CommSupp directory, so possibly not a result
of the new / interim /whatever IP process...
Now, I'm fully ready to admit that I may have just missed this one,
but it seemed like a good excuse to raise the question as to what we
are in fact doing with IPs these days.
Anyone?
M.
