Hello everyone!

First of all, I would like to say thank you to everyone who has been
working very hard to get our Web Cam page running. There have been many
people involved, and the work seems to be finally paying off.

I would like to address the issue of the banner ads. As far as the
content and basic design of the page goes, the Communications Committee
has been involved in the process. The only reason we gave the "go ahead"
on the expenses for the web cam, was the projection that Chebucto would
bring in more revenue through banner advertising.

This remains the main priority for this page. Today, we are getting the
most hits we have ever gotten and we need people to see the banner ads so
they can see how their ads would look. Why would they buy advertising
for a banner ad that is not even represented on the page?

I agree with James that the scrolling is necessary and not really that
bad.

If the Communications Committee were consulted last week, we would have
been happy to come up with a solution before this.

As the time is crucial for us to have the banner up at this time, I ask
that you replace it as soon as possible. If you would like to make
alterations to it, that is fine. Please consult with James for the new
wording or look of the banner.

In the future, I would request that the Communications Committee be
informed of an desired changes. I'm not tying to be difficult, just that
this problem could have been solved quicker had we known about it in
advance. :)
