Hi Marlene,

I am presuming you are referring to working in PINE with this reply:

Have you checked your sent-mail folder? Delete all your sent-mail and
you may enough quota to bounce one email. Once it is bounced and you have
confirmed that you have received it on the other end, delete both the
email and the sent-mail copy and then move onto the next email and repeat
the above.

Let's say, for example, that your quota is 5 mb and each email is 2 mb
in size. As the actual emails with attachments are already occupying 4 mb
of your space, bouncing both is causing a sent-mail copy of both to be
written and, suddenly, you're up to over 8 mb. Send one email first after
you have cleaned out your sent-mail folder. Once it has been received,
then delete both the sent-mail copy and the original. This will buy you
more space in which to deal with the second one.

If you run over on your quota and it causes PINE to exit, check in your
files directory for a 'core' file and delete it. This is a memory-dump
record and is not needed but counts in your quota. Something else to try
is to 'v'iew one of the attachments in PINE and it will tell you to 's'ave
it to your files. This will move one of the files to your files quota,
which is actually different than your mail quota and usually has more
space. Once you've sent the first email with attachment and have
confirmed its reception on the other, delete the original and sent-mail
copy, then compose a new email to yourself at the other email address and
'a'ttach the saved picture from your files diectory and send it that way.

Remember that if you save the attachment of one emails to your files,
to delete the email afterwards and it will buy you back the mail quota
space it took, allowing you to deal with one email before creating a
second email to be sent to your other email address. It's a bit of a
workaround but it gets the job done.
