Hi Gretchen,

If you mean that you will be continuing to use Chebucto PLUS dial-up
but on a newer computer, instructions are given below on how to set that
up. If you are referring to high speed internet, Chebucto doesn't offer
that service yet. We're not exactly sure when our wireless high speed
service will, officially, start as we are still in the testing phase.

To continue using dial-up with your new computer: if your new computer
has Windows XP on it, just select:

Start (the start button) and Set up Internet,

Enter in the name 'Chebucto PLUS', the phone number: 494-6744 and XP
should find the rest of the settings on its own. If it asks for a domain
name, enter: chebucto.ca. If the setup asks if you want to create a new
account, select 'no, as you already have an existing internet service and
account. That option is just for those who have never had internet before
and would need a new service and account.

If your new computer has Windows Vista on it, read the instructions at
the url below to set up Vista for PLUS:

        http://www.chebucto.ca/PPP/Help/WindowsVistaSetup.shtml

Also: Windows XP has HyperTerminal included. That program enables you
to connect to the text service via telnet/ssh, if so desired. Vista no
longer supplies HyperTerminal but Putty v0.59, a good replacement
program, can be downloaded here:

Let us know if you require further assistance.
