Hi Sally. IMAP and POP3 are choices for how to access your
mailbox. IMAP leaves the mail on the server and is the better choice for
most people. POP3 downloads all mail to the home computer, which means if
anything happens to that computer, all mail is lost.

You can find mail settings on
http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/PPP/securemail.shtml

In brief:

Receive mail:

IMAP server: imap.chebucto.ns.ca

Use TLS encryption if available, SSL if not.

Send mail:

SMTP server: smtp.chebucto.ns.ca

Use plain text login and password to authenticate.

Use SSL encryption.

Use Port 465 (will need to be manually set)
