NEWS RELEASE
PROVEN, HUMANE SOLUTION OFFERED TO STOP KOSOVO CRISIS AND THE
ESCALATING INTERNATIONAL VIOLENCE
“The United States urgently needs large groups of Yogic Flyers to
save the nation from the consequences of our actions in Kosovo.
Time is of the essence.”
VIOLENCE BEGETS VIOLENCE. The violence in Yugoslavia, rather than
solving the problem, has made it worse. Nations have united to bomb
Yugoslavia, but any nation—-big or small, can be the target of this
kind of destruction at any time. All nations involved in
perpetrating the violence in Yugoslavia are in danger of reaping
what they sow.
This is the conclusion of Dan and Alison Wasielewski, representing
the Chicago Office of Maharishi Global Administration Through
Natural Law, a nonprofit organization established to create world
peace.
They are urging President Clinton and NATO to adopt a “proven,
humane solution” to the escalating bloodshed in Yugoslavia—and
preventing other such conflagrations in the future.
APPROACHES USING VIOLENCE OR NEGOTIATIONS DON’T CREATE PEACE
“Violence doesn’t create peace, and negotiations haven’t created
peace,” Mr. Wasielewski said. “It’s time to look to a new solution.
There is only one scientifically validated approach that has been
shown to create peace: group practice of the Transcendental
Meditation and TM-Sidhi program, including Yogic Flying.”
STRESS IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF WAR
“War is the outbreak of stress in individual and collective
consciousness,” he explained. “Extensive research over the past 25
years shows that Yogic Flying reduces stress and produces increased
brain wave coherence in the individual, which then spreads out
exponentially to create coherence in the environment, in proportion
to the number of practitioners.”
RESEARCH SHOWS YOGIC FLYING GROUPS CAN REDUCE VIOLENCE
More than 40 research studies, published in leading, peer-reviewed
journals, such as the Journal of Conflict Resolution, have shown
that group practice of Yogic Flying creates harmony and peace and
reduces social stress, violence, and conflict in wartorn areas.
A new study to be published in Social Indicators Research (in
press) supports these previous findings. The carefully controlled
study found that 4,000 Yogic Flying experts reduced violent crime
by 24 percent in Washington, D.C., during the summer of 1993. (An
abstract of the research study and charts are available at:

TIME TO STOP JUSTIFYING THE USE OF VIOLENCE
“With these findings of a new Peacekeeping Technology now
available, we need to stop the habit of resorting to use of
violence. Those who fight wars to always feel that their wars are
justified: ‘We must kill the killers.’ But those who kill the
killers are creating a very dangerous situation for their nation,”
Mr. Wasielewski warned.
CHALLENGE TO WEALTHY TO CREATE LARGE GROUPS OF YOGIC FLYERS
“The United States urgently needs large groups of Yogic Flyers to
save the nation from the consequences of our actions in Kosovo,”
Mr. Wasielewski said. “Time is of the essence. We challenge the
wealthy to protect their wealth by supporting the establishment of
large groups of Yogic Flyers. Everything we can do must be done
today; tomorrow never comes. When the bombs fall who will be there
to spend their wealth?”
CREATING PEACE ONLY SOLUTION
“We need to create harmony and peace, and a stress-free world
consciousness to prevent further conflicts. Calmness begets
calmness. Only groups of Yogic Flyers can quickly neutralize the
root cause of violence,” Mr. Wasielewski said. “This new
Peacekeeping Technology will create a bright, new era of
unprecedented peace and prosperity in our worldwide family on
nations.”
