The transfer of power is complete and i am installed as your sust-mar
listowner [invoking painful memories for those of you who survived my
previous reign of terror as assistant-listowner a year ago ... :)

First of all i think we all should all give Carlos a big THANKS for being
our listowner for so long. Thank you, bon voyage, and congrats on
finishing at Dal! [Carlos is featured in the latest Dal News!]

You won't be hearing much from me til May, since i am busy with my own
finals. But don't hesitate to contact me if you have technical questions
about the list, at pfalvo@chebucto.ns.ca or sust-mar-owner@chebucto.ns.ca

I'll stick as much as possible to Carlos's "laissez-faire" ethic which
seemed to work well. 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it!' Having said
that, the list's guidelines are in need of updating ...

I'd like to hear from YOU to find out if people are happy with sust-mar.

Please take a moment to let me know -- privately or on the list -- what
you think. I'd also like to know if there are people out there who'd like
to volunteer as "co-hosts" ... ie, to form a sust-mar committee that would
help me oversee things and provide advice when decisions are required.

No fancy questionnaire ... but if you've got writers' block, i'm curious
to know:

What would you like to see more of on sust-mar? Less of?
How would you make sust-mar better?
How would you update our guidelines [to get a copy of our
guidelines, send "info sust-mar" to majordomo@chebucto.ns.ca]

	etc etc

and ... please let me know if you'd like to volunteer as a co-host on the
the "sust-mar committee"

I'll post a summary of the results in May.

Until then ...
~paul
