Greetings once again from the 10th Annual Atlantic Earth Festival!

           (June 6 - 7, George Dixon Centre)

The Atlantic Earth Festival this year will be an outdoor/indoor event held
June 6 (2:00-10:30pm) and June 7 (noon-8:30pm) at the George Dixon
Community Centre, 2502 Brunswick St, adjacent to Gottingen, just south of
North St.

The AEF is organized and run ENTIRELY by volunteers. Admission to all
events during this weekend is FREE!

We have quite a lineup of musicians, theatre groups and entertainers
(Including the Irondale Ensemble Project, Knifey Moloko, Samba Nova,
Piggy, 5 foot 9, Sonja Wood, Andrew Gillis, Lesley Choyce and the Surf
Poets, and gypsy belly dance), workshops for adults and children, and much
more! The workshops range from serious to fun and most are interactive and
participatory. Several have an international focus, others are directed
towards local and community issues, many are hands-on. The up-to-date
mainstage entertainment and workshop schedules are listed below. * Please
feel free to forward these schedules to anyone who may be interested in
any of the workshops or their times! *

There will also be craft vendors, geat food and lots of stuff for kids!

The main stage and many of the workshops will be outdoors on the George
Dixon Centre fields. Most of the displays and some of the workshops will
be indoors. Display times are 2-7pm Sat June 6 and noon-5pm Sun June 7.
There will also be some acoustic busker - style performances from an
indoor stage. If it rains outdoor activities may move indoors. Sunshine
will likely lure indoor activities to the outdoors!

Again, apologies in advance for any duplicated mailings.

The AEF office phone is 425-1755. Our e-mail address is
ip-aef@chebucto.ns.ca. Please come out and enjoy the Festival!
