ARE YOU UNDER 30?
(we're conducting interviews on thursday and friday)

OXFAM-Canada PEI Local Committee is looking for eight youth to work on a
Community Organic Garden Project. The Project, which is in the final stages
of funding approval, will provide gardening space for people in the downtown
area who don't have land to garden on, and will raise public awareness about
related environmental and food security issues.

The project is funded by Youth Service Canada (a program of HRDC) and will
run from June 8 to November 2. Participants will receive a weekly stipend of
$216 and a completion grant of $500 upon the conclusion of the project.

main duties:
-creating and tending a garden
-facilitating community involvement
-giving workshops and public presentations

assets:
-experience or interest in organic gardening, community, and environmental
issues
-presentation skills (giving workshops, public speaking, etc.) 
-communications skills (photography, newsletter, art, internet, french, etc.)
-creativity

Job interviews will be conducted on Thursay June 4 and Friday June 5 at the
Voluntary Resource Council (81 Prince St.).
