This afternoon I got a piece of email asking for a copy of something I had
diatribed last November. And no, not even I do _that_ . . .

Now, I had never thought about this a whole lot but I had a sneaking
suspicion and went for a suspicious sneak around

	<http://www.chebucto.ns.ca>

and then found

	<http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/olists/>

and then found

	<http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/olists/sust-mar/index.html>

and then found a whole infestation of htm files attached thereto: the
sust-mar archives. I reasoned that if I didn't really know for sure that
this existed, and the person who wrote me obviously didn't know it existed,
then maybe there might be some other people who didn't know either. Then I
went and read that "Please save this message for future reference"
majordomo letter and discovered that it even tells you that it's there. So
now I have to confess- I didn't read it! But I think there are more
closet non-majordomo-letter-readers out there so decided to send this in to
remind anybody who needs reminding about what a wonderful thing this list
is . . .

<sigh>

	Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability
	to learn from the experience of others
	are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
