Dear Folks, It was a struggle, but CBC Maritimes has finally agreed to broadcast FISHING ON THE BRINK- a documentary about who killed the cod, and who is being handed the remaining fish on a silver platter ( one guess- they are the same). The film will be broadcast on Thursday, August 13, at 7pm Atlantic. It will be seen in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and P.E.I. Another news flash: Fishermen's organizations from across Canada have just launched a court case to stop the Department of Fisheries policy of privatization which allows the fish stocks to be bought and sold while they are still swimming in the ocean.
