ECOLOGY ACTION CENTRE POSITION AVAILABLE: WILDERNESS COMMITTEE COORDINATOR The Centre requires the services of an individual to help coordinate the activities of the Wilderness Committee. This is a partnership position with Human Resources This position entails developing a long term vision for the Centre on Wilderness Issues; acting as spokesperson for the committee; and developing projects and funding proposals The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently; has good writing and communication skills; has in depth knowledge of wilderness and forestry issues in Nova Scotia; has experience working with NGOs and fundraising. Knowledge of Macintosh systems and a relevant university degree an asset. This position is initially a part-time-6-month position. However the goal for the coordination is to secure funding to create a full-time long term position.
