hi all, school is on, students are back, Fall is in the air and Maritimers
are getting restless for another season of volunteering for social justice
... :)

I'm looking for a volunteer to help me operate sust-mar.

At the moment we're short staffed b/c i'm trying to keep things running
from Toronto. It'd be optimal to have someone actually in the Maritimes to
help me with tings.

Not a major time commitment. Just a few emails. Ideally you have
experience with majordomo, but you can lean on the job. Majordomo isn't
tough for anyone who mastered how to send an email.

At a minimum you'll help me monitor the list and unsubscribe bad addresses
[that is to say, addresses that go bad and reject mail, not people who
smoke behind the schoolhouse :)

You'll help people who forget how to unsubcribe or who can't figure out
how to join. Time commitment: say, 30 minutes a week.

If you'll like you'll get more involved and help me promote the list and
attract new subscribers. [Of course, anyone can do this .... you don't
need a special charter :)

And if you're really keen, i'll loan you a pair of sust-mar hip-waders,
and you can help me wade into the cyber-fray on the occasional happenning
that feathers get ruffled on the list. You can help me decide on how to
apply our guidelines, how to develop our guidelines, etc. [I have even to
mention this since everyone is being such angels lately :)

And i hardly need to say it, but CEOs of Canada's top banks agree that
sust-mar experience looks tiffy on a resume :)

rsvp!
