Hello folks, Would anyone be interested in hosting/producing a local environmentally focused radio show? No experience necessary! CKDU 97.5 FM, Dalhousie University's national award winning campus/community radio station, has successfully completed its 14th annual funding drive and thus will continue to broadcast its diverse array of alternative voices to the Halifax area. At present, CKDU's line-up includes locally produced programming focusing on women, alternative health, consumer issues, labour, the local arts scene, and much more. However, the station at present lacks a locally produced program focused on the environment. If you've ever secretly fantasized about being on the airwaves, if you've ever felt frustrated by the lack of attention our media pays to important ecologic and sustainability issues, or if you just want to make your voice heard, then here's the perfect opportunity! You produce the show, you control the format, and you decide the topics. The only prerequisites are some environmental awareness and committment, along with enthusiasm and creativity and some volunteer hours at the station. Training provided. Educational and fun. No experience necessary!
