CROSSROADS' INTERNATIONAL DINNER EXTRAVAGANZA HALIFAX, NS ---Canadian Crossroads International presents its International Dinner Extravaganza on Saturday, November 6th at The Church,5657 North St. at the corner of Fuller Terrace. (On North, halfway between Agricola St. & The McDonald Bridge). Door open at 6 and dinner buffet begins promptly at 7. This is an exciting event to celebrate Crossorads' 30th Anniversary and to bring the local community together for an evening of diverse foods, music and dancing! The evening will include delicious dishes provided by a diverse range of local restaurants; a cash bar; short auction; performances by Afro-Celtic belly dancer, Nancy Gwen with Kojo, a traditional African thumb piano (kalimba) group; Fernanda Ferreira; fiddler, singer & storyteller Shari Clarke; Nexus all-female barbershop quartet; Edo-King and members of Afro-Musica; and the evr popular, Piggy. Afterwards, infectious funky house rhytms by DJ R. SOUL and African, reggae and soca by DJ NAZ. This is also a regional fundraiser for Crossroads, as well as a great community event. So come out and show your support! Advance tickets are availableat the Lester Pearson International on the DAL campus, 1321 Edward St.; the Crossroads' office, 1657 Barrington St., Suite 330 (in the Roy Building), at DIO MIO Gelato on Brenton St. or by calling Anne-Marie at 422-0486 by November 5th (or before!). Dance only at 10 p.m. is $5 cover.
