Folks, just a reminder that Sust-Mar is free to join, but not free to
operate. Thank you to the Sierra Club - Chebucto Group and to Marjorie
Willison for generously donating in 1999.

Their donations were spent on printing cards to promote the list. The more
people who join our on-line community, the more who will read our messages
and contribute to the list.

Please remember Sust-Mar on you holiday gift list. Or, consider donating
directly to the Chebucto Community Net, which gives us free Internet use
and technical support. CCN users, when you send in your annual donation to
the Chebucto Community Net please throw in a few extra dollars for
Sust-Mar.

Have a cool Yule, everyone!

Dear Chebucto User:

The special season of Christmas will soon be upon us. If you are
already a member of the Chebucto Community Net, why not think about
purchasing a membership in Chebucto as a gift to a family member or
friend? Or if they already have a membership, why not purchase an upgrade
for them? Chebucto now offers full graphical access with Netscape or
Internet Explorer for just $100 per year!

Since Chebucto Community Net is a registered non-profit charity we
also can accept tax-deductible donations to help us in our many community
projects. You can reach us at: office@chebucto.ns.ca or 494-2449.

Our primary mission is to provide access to the Internet to all
residents of the Halifax Region regardless of their financial status and
to assist in providing training and technical support for community-based
Internet access projects. This year one of these projects is to help local
volunteer groups get online through the Federal Government's VolNet
program. We're also holding meetings with various community groups in the
HRM about the UrbanCAP program, which will be setting up more than thirty
public community access sites in the HRM area over the next couple of
years, bringing web access and a host of online services
to those who need them most.

We want to thank you for your continued support and interest in
the Chebucto Community Net.

Have a peaceful and safe holiday.

				Sincerely,

				Leo J. Deveau
				Executive Director

				Andrew D. Wright
				Office Manager
