In addition, there are the ramifications of increased salt content to your
diet. These pose a short-term problem for the elderly and a long-term
problem to the young. The effect that increased salt ingestion has on
joints and the nervous system in general can be provided by your local MD
(or orthapedic surgeon in greater detail if you happen to be that lucky).
 
Filters will not remove all of the contaminants that threaten your health.
A radiative treatment (or ozone treatment) is the only 'sure fire' method
of removing microbes .... but these will not necessarily remove some of
the man-made contaminants (e.g., chlorine). Any complete system must
therefore be a combination of both. Most of the periodicals dealing with
Health and the Environment have published articles dealing with these
areas over the past 4 or 5 years.
