Hello everyone - please distribute far and wide!

Coming up this September in Saint John, New Brunswick is the Coastal Zone
2000 Youth Forum. This will be a gathering created by youth, for youth (ages
16-29), with the goal of "creating an inspiring atmosphere where youth are
empowered to discuss and act upon issues that affect our coastal areas".

Under the theme of Coastal Stewardship: Lessons Learned and the Paths Ahead,
we will be closely exploring 4 sub-themes:
- Oceans Governance
- Community-based Action
- Aboriginal Practices and Perspectives
- Coastal Health
We will be focusing on the ecological footprint concept and responsible
citizenship, with action and empowerment being our main goals.

We are currently looking for papers, posters, art work, etc. to be submitted
by youth (by May 1) for presentation at our Forum. For more details you can
contact myself of visit our web site at
http://www.sybertooth.ca/czczcc2000/yf.htm The call for papers is pasted
below, and is also available en Francais.

Cheers,
	Max
