On Thursday, Feb. 24, NSPIRG will mark a decade of service to the
Dalhousie and greater Halifax communities with a "social for social
justice" - our 10th Birthday Party. There will be music, games,
storytelling, door prizes, and food; and whether you're a longtime member
of PIRG or someone just hearing about us for the 1st time, all of it is
free for all!

Amongst the musical friends who will be helping us celebrate are Piggy
(the "Calypso Orchestra of the Maritimes") and Q-Taza. Other special
guests include Raging Granny Betty Peterson and other veteran activists
who will be sharing, in a storytelling circle, some of the history of
social justice work in Halifax.

Why: to have fun and to learn about an important community organization
When: 19:00 (7pm) Thursday, February 24, 2000
Where: Green Room, Dalhousie Student Union Building (6163 University Av.)
How much: FREE!

A word from our lawyers ...

Don't forget ... COPYRIGHT material, such as newspaper/magazine articles
cannot be posted on sust-mar without the owner's permission. It's against
the law. CROSS-POSTINGS (messages from other lists) are also discouraged.

In either case, why not tell us something about the issue in your own
words? Or ... send a clipping along with the URL where the original can be
found, or directions how to join the list it came from?

Takes a few more minutes, but makes for a more interesting sust-mar ... :)
