Tomorrow, Tuesday 21 March, HRM Council is voting on the pesticide ban. If you haven't phoned your councillor yet, please do so. You'll find their numbers in the blue pages of your phone book. EVERY CALL COUNTS Councillor Jerry Blumenthal phoned me today and said he would only support a bylaw that results in a "gradual" phase-in of a ban. Of course, there is nothing "gradual" about what pesticides do to a child (or adult) with environmental sensitivities [although, one could argue they have a gradual effect on healthy people]. I hope people will phone Councillor Blumenthal at 455-9868 (home) to urge him (politely) to take a stronger stance. ~paul :) PS I am not working on this issue in any official capacity.
