For Your Information: The Local Level Indicators Strategic Advisory Committee of the Canadian Model Forest Network is hosting a series of outreach workshops across Canada designed to share model forest experiences with the development of Local Level Indicators of Sustainable Forest Management. These workshops are designed to address the needs of forest practitioners and others with an involvement or interest in developing and using local level indicators for sustainable forest management. The workshops will explore opportunities, review methodologies and identify barriers and solutions commonly faced in developing and using local level indicators. Speakers and presenters include: Dr. Louis Lapierre, Dan Welsh (CFS), Martin von Mirbach, Graham Forbes (UNB), Vivian Peachy (FSC), and many others. A meeting here in the Maritimes is scheduled for June 26-27 at the Crystal Palace, Best Western in Moncton, New Brunswick. Registration may be performed on-line through the http://www.fundymodelforest.net website in the "What's New (Events)" section or by obtaining a form by fax to the Fundy Model Forest office in Sussex (fax # 506 432-2807). Registration fee is $200 (or $100 for non-governmental and first nations organizations).
