On Monday, Nov. 6 the Nova Scotian Institute of Science is hosting a panel
discussion entitled "Global Climate Change". The interested public is
invited to attend and participate at 7:30 p.m., in the Guptill Lecture
Theatre (Rm.117), Dunn Building, Dalhousie University.  For more
information please call 494 5124 or  e-mail:   dbetts@is.dal.ca

Proposed topics include:
Climate science  - mechanisms of change 
Environmental impact - forestry, oceans, fisheries
Policy - global and local
Energy 

The panel discussion moderator is:
Mr. Meinhard Doelle - Director, Clean Nova Scotia 

The panelists are:
Dr. Petr Chylek - Atmospheric Science Programme, Dalhousie University;  
Dr. Marlon Lewis - Oceanography Department, Dalhousie University, and CEO
Satlantic;  
Dr. Peter Duinker - Director, School of Resource and Environmental
Studies, Dalhousie University; 
Mr. George Foote - Research and Statistical Officer, Energy Utilization,
Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources. 

The panelists will briefly cover topics related to their area of expertise
and then the discussion will be open to the audience. Everyone is welcome
to attend this free presentation.
