There's a disturbing trend on sust-mar lately: people are sending messages only a day or two before the event they advertise. That's not enough notice. Please try to send sust-mar messages at least three WEEKS in advance of the event. Not everyone checks email daily. If you send sust-mar a message on Monday telling people about something that happens on Tuesday, even if I post it that day, some people won't see it in time. Remember: it may have to wait before it gets posted. There may be other time-sensitive messages in the queue. Otherwise, we penalize people who are ahead in line. And finally, almost 3 dozen people read sust-mar in DIGEST form. That means they get a compilation every 2 weeks. So they won't read your message until long after the event unless you send it early.
