Anyone interested in the larg, comprehenive issues of Environment, Women, Justice, Peace and Globalization will want to hear Berit As speak on Wednesday, Jan 3 at Saint Mary's University, Sobeys Building , 8pm. Berit As is an amazing Norwegian woman who was one of the first women members of parliament in Norway, started the women's university in Norway and has been active in the international women's peace movement for decades. She has a very wise perspective and is a brilliant teacher and speaker. I have heard her often and she coined one of my my favorite quotes, "before you can make any real change, you must first accurately describe reality." This is a rare opportunity.
