Halifax Mobilization for Global Justice (also known as mobglob) is a local
coalition of activists opposed to globalization. The environment is one of
the key aspects to our opposition to globalization, in particular because of
the damage done by clauses like Chapter 11 under NAFTA and siimlar clauses
in other global trade agreements.

Currently the group is organizing against the Free Trade Ara of the
Americas. Travel plans are being slowly laid for getting to Quebec City for
the events happening ther from April 16-21, coinciding with an Summit of the
Americas occurring there at the time.

This weekend in Halifax, March 16-18, there is an Atlantic-wide Teach-In on
the FTAA and demonstration tactics from street theatre to civil
disobedience, being held at the North Street Church. For information or to
register please email mobglob@ziplip.com.

Atlantic mobglob runs an email update list. Subscribing is easy, just send
a blank email to mobglobplan-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. We also have a
discussion list for debates about theory and tactics, at
mgdiscuss-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. List traffic is heavy at the moment
but usually runs to about 20 emails per week. Digest is available by
registering at yahoogroups.com and changing your preferences.
