Local Sierra Club Activists and all interested others are going to raise awareness of Car Free Day in our community. Car Free Day is April 19th. The Banner Gathering will take place on Tuesday April 17 during rush hour. All are invited to join the gathering which is 2 days before Car Free Day. All are encouraged to bring their own [tasteful] posters/sandwhich boards/costumes or just come to support part of the banner. Location: North Street at the Halifax entrance/exit of the MacDonald Bridge - on the boulevard. Bring your bike, walk or whatever... Time: 3:00-5:30 pm, April 17 If you would like to join in designing the banner contact Cindi Gilbert at <cyndigilbert@hotmail.com>. * Some suggest we encourage participants and others who are unable to attend to carry sidewalk chalk during the week and to chalk messages about the day in appropriate strategic locations.
