Place: Halifax Hall, City Hall (Grand Parade)

=20
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm Bicycle City tour with James Mackay - bring your =
bike! This is an opportunity to take a closer look at what works and what =
doesn't in our city, and how others have dealt with similar challenges. =
=20

Please e-mail totak@region.halifax.ns.ca to let me know if you plan to =
attend, and invite anyone you think may be interested in this workshop. =

Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at 6 pm:
Wayne Groszko will present to HRM Council the petition calling
for Macdonald Bridge Bikeway access to be improved.
We have over 300 names already.

If you want to support this effort, you can do the following:

-If you have copies of the petition with names on them, please take them
to EAC or get them to Wayne before Tuesday.
-If you want to sign the petition and have not done so, please sign it
before Monday
-If you have time Tuesday evening, you can attend the HRM Council meeting
to hear the presentation - it makes a difference when the room is packed
and councillors see that people care about this issue.
-If you want to express your support more explicitly, you can write a
letter to your municipal councillor. If you don't know who your councillor
is, or you want a sample letter, call/email Wayne.

-Finally, you can spread the word about the presentation and these
possible actions, to other people you think would be interested.
