SIERRA CLUB OF CANADA - ATLANTIC CANADA CHAPTER
Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2001
July 20-22, Annapolis Royal NS
Join us for the weekend to celebrate our first year as a Chapter! Meet the
Executive Committee members and guest speakers Elizabeth May, Executive
Director of the Sierra Club of Canada, and Dr. Owens Wiwa, a Nigerian human
rights and environmental activist and brother of Ken Saro-Wiwa. Dr. Wiwa is
also a National Board Member of the Sierra Club of Canada. Dr. Wiwa.
It has been a exciting year filled with successes and new challenges - from
the Sydney Tar Ponds to oil & gas development along the coastline of Cape
Breton to organic waste management. Learn about these campaigns and more.
Enjoy the weekend with Nigerian food, music, and dancing as well as the
Saturday Morning Farmer's Market.
