Hi all! As an update on Seymour Green organic community garden located on
Dalhousie campus. So far three beds have been destroyed by renovation
contractors (not to mention the paint cans and other garbage strewn amongst
the plants). The situation does not look as dire as it did yesterday
though, some of the rescued plants seem to be pulling through. Once all of
the work is complete we will be able to replant. As for the straw bale
shed, it still needs to be moved. Dalhousie University is making things
very difficult for us and is requiring that the moving company provide the
university with a certified copy of its insurance rider (even thought the
university used this very company before without that requirement) So the
moving of the shed will not take place until next week. However, between
now and then the large beams that have been acquired need to be placed
under the shed in preparation for the move. Tomorrow (Sunday) at the
previously sheduled work party (noon) we hope to work on that. Any help and
support is appreciated.

Janet.
