INVITATION!

It is time for the 2001 Nova Scotia Membership Meeting for the Atlantic
Council for International Cooperation!

We are a unique coalition of Atlantic Canadian organizations working on
international development and cooperation issues, working together to
achieve sustainable global development in a peaceful and healthy
environment, with social justice, human dignity, and participation for all.

ACIC supports its members in development and developmental education through
collective leadership, networking, information, training and coordination,
and represents their interests when dealing with government and others. We
currently have 28 members, including national organizations and grassroots
organizations from across the Atlantic Provinces.

Our projects this year include:

* A professional development workshop to be held in each of the Atlantic
provinces for members;
*  A quarterly newsletter, to which members may submit events and articles;
* A two-day Annual General Meeting, which will incorporate a professional
development workshop;
* Keeping our website (www.acic-caci.org) updated with the latest
information on our members; and,
* A public engagement project on the topic of climate change, which will be
run with the assistance of a member organization in each of the Atlantic
Provinces.
