Nothing in the hopper again today [i.e. the sust-mar lines are wide open:
your NGO's message could be HERE, in 300+ inboxes].

QUESTION: What do you think of the CBC news briefs I've been adding to the
tail end of sust-mar messages for the past week or so? Are they useful,
informative, a reason to read to the end? Or, a waste of bandwidth?

Similar excerpts from King's College School of Journalism's NovaNews were
very popular when I was sending them before (back in '97, before the list
was even moderated). I cull the environmentally-related news from the
daily email CBC sends me of Halifax headlines. (Some days half the stories
are environmentally-related ... a sign of the times?).

This means we're missing out on news from PEI and NB. In fact, sust-mar is
generally shy on that ... do feel free to contribute if you live outside
Halifax.

The news briefs are an exception to our normal exclusion of copyright
material. CBC permits the free distribution of this information, as long
as the copyright is acknowledged.

But .. please let me know if you feel it's a complete waste of bandwidth.

~paul :)
