The Department of Human Resources Development Canada has put out a call of
nominations for the Therese Casgrain Volunteer Award. Each year this award
is awarded to a man and a woman whose pioneering spirit, social commitment
and lifelong voluntary efforts have contributed significantly to the
advancement of a social cause and the well-being of their fellow
Canadians.

PAINT RECYCLING PLANT FIRST IN MARITIMES

Homeowners will soon be able to return leftover paint to 85 recycling
depots across Nova Scotia.  The paint will be collected and taken to a
company in Springhill for re-manufacture.
