All are invited to attend this public event at the Dartmouth Harbourview Holiday Inn, Wyse Road at the Macdonald Bridgehead, on Wed. April 10 at 7:30 pm. It is the first of 3 or 4 topic-based meetings to be held in the metro area in connection with HRM's Healthy Growth regional planning project. There will be an overview of regional development trends, including a GIS demonstration of how rural subdivision has followed highway construction, and touching on some long-term alternative transport mode possibilities. David Roberts, P.Eng., of IBI Group will be talking about the importance of integrated transportation, having just completed a draft 5-year bus strategy for Metro Transit. Paul Euloth, Trails Coordinator with the Halifax Regional Development Authority, will give a talk on Active Transportation, assisted by Wayne Groszko, HRM's new Bicycle/Pedestrian Coordinator. There will be opportunities for questions and comments from the public at this session.
