Several on this list were part of a community effort circa 1994 that
defeated a proposal by Halifax's Metro Authority to build a garbage
incinerator in Burnside.

Time to don the war paint again! At least for me ... the community I now
live in (Yellowknife) is considering a municipal garbage incinerator.
Such an incinerator would potentially damage our environment, by causing
air pollution, undermining recycling, etc. A group of us are gearing up to
challenge it.

Can we draw on your experience?

Is there anyone out there who has information and experience, from Halifax
or other battles, that could help supply us with information, etc. Just
looking for contact names right now, basicly.

Please reply "off list", i.e. directly to me.

Thanks!
~paul :)
